Nationally the recycling market has changed dramatically in the past few weeks. China has drastically cut back close to zero (0) percent importing of recycling materials. This has left processors nationwide looking for buyers for the materials. There is more recycling being received than can be sold. The effect is two fold. 1. Processors can, and are being extremely particular on materials, and are rejecting any loads that have Non-Recyclables in them (Contamination). Due to this change, the only materials accepted are cardboard, paper, aluminum & beverage containers. All containers must be rinsed. Items not accepted are the following but not limited to: hazardous materials, any plastic containers that hazardous material came in, paint cans, household garbage, diapers, medical supplies, paper plates and cups covered in wax, glass of any kind, and greasy cardboard pizza boxes.
