The Byrnes Mill Recycling Center is located off Byrnes Mill Road near Highway 30 (the entry drive is 0.4 mile from Highway 30).

Commingled Containers Plastics #1-7 - NO #6

  • Soda, Water and Flavored Beverage Bottles (PET - Number 1 resin)
  • Milk and Juice Jugs (HDPE Number 2 plastic) (Rinsed Out)
  • Detergent and Fabric Softener Containers (HDPE Number 2)
  • Narrow Neck Plastic Containers (PVC Number 3 plastic)
  • Grocery Containers (LDPE Number 4 Plastic Resin)
  • PP Grocery Containers (Number 5 plastic)
  • Number 7 Plastic Resin Narrow Neck Containers
  • Steel Cans and Tins
  • Aseptic Packaging and Gable Top Containers (Milk and Juice Cartons)
  • Aluminum Cans, Trays and Foil (clean)
  • Glass Bottles and Jars (NO window glass, dinnerware, ceramics, etc.)
  • White Goods - Refrigerators (doors off) Washers, Dryers, Hot Water Heaters

  • Newspaper, including inserts

  • If Shredded Paper please have it contained in Cardboard Box or Paper Bag

NO Plastic Bags (please return plastic bags to grocery store)

NO Household Garbage, Diapers, Paint Cans, Limbs or Yard Waste
NO Light Bulbs
NO Plastic Playgrounds, Power Wheels
NO Large Bulk Plastic (nothing bigger than a plastic tote)
NO Restroom Papers, Papers Containing Synthetic Materials
NO Items Contaminated with Food
 
We will join Jefferson County again with paper shredding and yard waste events.
