Responsibilities and Services

  • Administers Oath of Office
  • Administers and maintains business and liquor licenses
  • Administers and maintains solicitors permits
  • Administers and maintains pet tags
  • Assists City Administrator as Purchasing Agent and coordinates bids and bid process for City
  • Attends all meetings of the Board of Aldermen
  • Certifies copies of documents for the City and various department and is a Notary Public
  • Posts Public Notices as required by law
  • Prepares all Board of Aldermen Meeting Agendas, Minutes, and Summaries including drafting resolutions, basic ordinances and preparing proclamations
  • Provides administrative support to the Mayor, Board of Aldermen and City Administrator
  • Provides records requests pursuant to the Missouri Sunshine Law
  • Responsible for Voter Registration and Registration of Candidates for elective office with the City
  • Serves as Custodian of official records and official seal of the city, including: ordinances, resolutions, minutes and contracts consistent with state law and or regulations of the Secretary of State's Office
  • Serves as a Good Will Ambassador for the City
