City Clerk
Responsibilities and Services
- Administers Oath of Office
- Administers and maintains business and liquor licenses
- Administers and maintains solicitors permits
- Administers and maintains pet tags
- Assists City Administrator as Purchasing Agent and coordinates bids and bid process for City
- Attends all meetings of the Board of Aldermen
- Certifies copies of documents for the City and various department and is a Notary Public
- Posts Public Notices as required by law
- Prepares all Board of Aldermen Meeting Agendas, Minutes, and Summaries including drafting resolutions, basic ordinances and preparing proclamations
- Provides administrative support to the Mayor, Board of Aldermen and City Administrator
- Provides records requests pursuant to the Missouri Sunshine Law
- Responsible for Voter Registration and Registration of Candidates for elective office with the City
- Serves as Custodian of official records and official seal of the city, including: ordinances, resolutions, minutes and contracts consistent with state law and or regulations of the Secretary of State's Office
- Serves as a Good Will Ambassador for the City
