Our Public Works Department is spending an average of 15 to 20 hours per week picking up trash along our city roads. The ‘Beauty in the Mill’ project was created to help solve the problems created by the amount of trash being tossed onto our roadways. We want to reduce the hours spent picking up trash so Public Works can concentrate on other projects, make our roadways more visibly pleasing to those driving within our city, maintain property values that can be affected by trash-filled streets, and reduce the environmental impact that the trash can have on our waterways and wildlife. We are asking for your help with this project. Please do not litter. This is your town, help us keep it clean.
